What we do
Pre-Renovation & Pre-Demolition Surveys
Full building or targeted surveys by a NYS-certified inspector. We identify and sample suspect materials, deliver ELAP-accredited lab results, and quantify anything positive so abatement can be bid accurately — required before most renovation and demolition permits.
Bulk Sampling & Lab Reporting
Suspect pipe insulation, floor tile, mastic, plaster, roofing? We collect samples using safe wet methods, seal every location, and report results with clear next steps — usually within days, not weeks.
Air Monitoring & Clearance Testing
Independent air sampling during and after abatement, including final clearance — the testing that proves a space is safe to reoccupy. Performed to AHERA and NYS Code Rule 56 protocols.
Mold Assessments
Moisture-driven inspections, surface and air sampling with AIHA-accredited lab analysis, and written remediation plans — performed independently of any remediation contractor.
Testing with no conflict of interest
Many testing companies also sell abatement — which means the company telling you there's a problem profits from fixing it. FirstSample only inspects, samples, and reports. Our findings are evidence, not a sales pitch.
